Organizational Assessment
At Makarios Consulting, LLC, we recognize that sustainable change cannot come from without: it must come from within. Therefore, we have developed a unique organizational assessment process that engages our clients' management personnel in a collaborative partnership. By encouraging and achieving change from within, lasting improvements to performance and effectiveness are made possible.

While recognizing that each organization is unique, the organizational assessment process follows a basic step-by step approach.
An Organizational Assessment serves many functions:
- It can define problems that previously were not recognized, and provide tailored solutions
- It can locate specific areas where training can generate increased productivity
- It can serve as a regular “check-up” to determine the health of your business and prevent problems from arising.
While recognizing that each organization is unique, the organizational assessment process follows the basic step-by step approach outlined below:
Step 1: Initial Meeting with Client
- Understand business outcomes
- Discover management concerns
- Identify desired outcomes / changes
- Determine success measures / critical factors
- Clarify the organizational assessment process
Step 2: Meeting with Group or Individuals Involved
- Discuss why we are engaging in this process (what needs to change and why)
- Clarify the organizational assessment process
- Engage people in the change initiative
Step 3: Data Collection
- Through the use of interviews, focus groups and/or written surveys, collect information from individuals and groups to provide management with new insights into what is impacting desired results
- Present written data report to management, summarizing key findings and providing recommendations for improvement
Step 4: Implementation of Recommendations
- Assist management in clarifying and resolving issues, placing special emphasis on engaging participants and aligning actions
- Design and delivery of targeted training (if appropriate)
- Executive coaching (if appropriate)
Step 5: Review
- Measure outcomes
- Learn from successes
